Summer Fun

Immigrant Services is pleased to invite you to our upcoming workshop “Summer Fun”. This time the presenters from the City of Guelph and the YMCA/YWCA will be providing the updates about the summer recreational options for our children and families in Guelph and will also talk about the financial assistance available. A Community Guide, along with other materials, will be given to each participant. You will also have the opportunity to be the winner of a draw for two spots for a trip to Niagara Falls on July 15, hosted by Immigrant Services and Project Wisdom!

Job Posting - Community Mobilizer

This position is responsible for developing and implementing a community mobilization strategy to engage new immigrants early on in their settlement in Guelph Wellington. The position will use various community engagement strategies including peer mentoring and mutual aid methods to ensure involvement of new immigrants in community activities, events, and organizations in an empowering manner that creates a mutually respectful relationship between the host community and the newcomer.
