Settlement Worker, Part Time (Mandarin)
This position is responsible for providing quality settlement services to new immigrants and refugees in a one-on-one and/or group setting. Part of the position's responsibilities is to develop an effective information and awareness program for new immigrants and refugees. The Settlement Worker will ensure clients have access to accurate and timely information about life in Canada.
The applicant must be bondable and cleared by a police reference check. Duties involve regular meetings with staff, clients, and community associations and groups. Some travel is required as well as some evening hours of work.
This is a contract until March 31, 2020 for a part-time position, 11 hours weekly, with a strong possibility of an extension.
