School Settlement Worker (SWIS program) -closed

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the School Settlement Worker will facilitate the school orientation and family settlement experience of students by providing settlement support services to students and parents that ensures newcomer families are aware of and able to access the full array of community and school services.

The assessor administers a variety of Canadian language Benchmark-based language assessment tools to clients and refers them to language training options that meet their needs and preferences in the local community. The assessor is required in the Guelph-Wellington area and may work at varied sites.
