Chynna Lewis - Musical Director & Instructor

In a sea of forgettable songs and worn out lyrics, Chynna Lewis has emerged as a believable, refreshing singer/songwriter with a maturity beyond her years. She delivers outstanding performances with a piercing voice and piano pieces that combine to evoke raw emotion. Originally from Taiwan, the 19 year old from Guelph, Ontario has had a remarkable response to her music. She commands a unique ability to capture the audience’s attention as she unravels her experiences and life stories through songs penned in her own distinctive style. Chynna’s musical journey, although just beginning, has taken a promising direction. Currently, Chynna is pursuing the prestigious Bachelor of Applied Music at Humber College in Toronto, Ontario.

Ryan Antooa - Guest instructor

Ryan is a bboy, also known as a "breakdancer" who has been dancing for 5 years in Guelph as a part of the Royal City Rockers. Attending the University of Guelph for a BSc in Neutraceutical Sciences, he has also managed to compete in competitions across Toronto, Hamilton, and New York, as well as performing for the University of Guelph's popular "One World" series.

Michael Boyd - Guest instructor

Mike Boyd has been playing drums since the ripe old age of 5. After taking lessons for years, practicing on his own and jamming with some friends, he began playing in bands. During his time at John F Ross, his Guelph high school, he played in what seemed like every student-run ensemble. After playing in a school based rock band, he switched gears and co-founded a Guelph based dance-pop band during the second last year of high-school called Dancehall Free for All. With them, Mike spent 3 and a half years traveling around southern Ontario playing shows and festivals as well as recording 3 Albums. In September 2010 he joined forces with one of his former high-school band mates, Nabi Loney and others, to form a new band called Medicine Hat. He now lives in Toronto studying Contemporary Music at Humber College. Mike is actively playing and recording with Medicine Hat and has been taking jobs in musical theatre and playing with different singers and musicians. He is always open to new musical opportunities and believes that any and all styles of music can lead to growth in one's own musical and spiritual journey.
