Intersections 2009: Prosperity in Diversity

"Intersections 2009: Prosperity in Diversity" took place on October 21st and 22nd, at the Best Western Conference Centre in Guelph. There were approximately 180 attendees at the event, with representatives from local and regional service-provider agencies, NGOs, all levels of government and the community. The presenters included dignitaries such as Mayor Karen Farbridge and the Provincial Minister of Citizenship and Immigration Michael Chan, as well as academics, service providers, consultants and members of the local immigrant community.

We would like to thank all of the event sponsors whose financial contributions made "Intersections 2009: Prosperity in Diversity" a possibility. We would also like to thank all of the presenters whose sessions were engaging and interesting. In addition, we are indebted to the volunteers whose work made the symposium run smoothly. Finally, we would like to thank all of the attendees at the event, for their interest and support, and the positive energy that filled the conference venue that ensured that "Intersections 2009: Prosperity in Diversity" was a success.
