It is with a mix of sadness and gratitude that the Board of Directors announces Roya Rabbani’s departure as Executive Director of Immigrant Services Guelph-Wellington (IS-GW), effective July 29, 2016. Since October 2008, Roya has played a critical role in the development and success of the organization. As a result of her eight years of dedicated service, IS-GW has risen from an agency with an uncertain future to an organization recognized locally and nationally for innovative programs and exceeding benchmarks. And while we will miss her inspiring leadership, we wish Roya the best of luck in her retirement and relocation to Ottawa.
In the upcoming months we will be conducting a search for a new Executive Director. During this transition period it is our priority to find the best individual to lead, while still maintaining a stable and effective organization. We will share the job announcement soon and ask for your help in identifying candidates who can help IS-GW continue along the successful path the agency is currently on.
Again, we cannot thank Roya enough for the dedication, passion, and enthusiasm she has given to IS-GW. She will be greatly missed by the staff, the board and community stakeholders alike.
President, Board of Directors
