What is Project Wisdom?
Our goals are to reach out to and engage the wisdom of immigrant and ethnocultural seniors in Guelph-Wellington in grass-roots community development to;
- Connect to services
- Overcome barriers
- Raise awareness of elder abuse
- Build communities that are nourishing to people of all ages.
Project Wisdom is made possible by funding from the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program, vision and support from our partner agencies (Immigrant Services Guelph-Wellington and Trellis Mental Health and Developmental Services), and most of all by the commitment and passion of older adults from diverse communities in Guelph-Wellington.
Phase 1 of Project Wisdom is complete as of September 30 2011. We are embarking on Phase 2 as of October 2011!
