FACILITATORS
MARY-ANNE KASHAT
Mary-Anne immigrated to Canada from Iraq at the age of three. She takes great pride in her "first identity" as an Iraqi as it has shaped the person she is today. Mary-Anne is completing her degree in Theatre and English (with a Specialist) at York University. She has completed numerous theatre classes including studio acting, production, theatre history and criticism, and has been a part of the Theatre at York paint/scenic design crew.
Mary-Anne has always had a passion for theatre in any form and this became apparent to her in high school where she was a part of several shows, including the Ontario Sears Drama Festival where she received an Award of Excellence for her original script “Between Floors”. Mary-Anne is now ready for Act II as she prepares to meet a new challenge next year pursuing a degree in Education. Mary-Anne will meet this new challenge with the same vigor and enthusiasm that she meets everything, and is already looking forward to a long career as an English and Drama teacher.
