Immigrant Services Guelph Wellington is currently accepting letters from individuals interested in serving on its Board of Directors. Experience or expertise in one or more of the following would be an asset: leadership, financial expertise and oversight, corporate governance, and working with immigrants and refugees. A strong commitment and passion for inclusive communities is essential.

A bit about us:

IS-GW offers settlement services to help immigrants participate fully in Canadian life. Our staff  keep up-to-date with the latest information relevant to immigrant settlement and their personal knowledge of issues facing new immigrants is an added value. Our services are offered in a manner that is inclusive and respectful of the diversity within our communities.

As a Board Member, you will:

  • Contribute your professional skills, work and life experiences;
  • Attend meetings of the Board, its sub-committees and activities;
  • Provide organizational oversight read and discuss current issues and initiatives, participate in continuous learning and skill development; and work collaboratively with management and other board members to put individuals supported in our programs first and help us achieve our vision of a community that celebrate diversity and inclusion.
